Reflections in Transparency- This class is an easygoing varied class with lots of different subjects as well as watercolour techniques to tackle.

We cover all of the watercolour basics plus a few personal techniques that I have found to help with this challenging medium over an 8 week session.

Suggested Supply List.

-140lb paper (22" X 30"cut into 1/4s ) is best - I don't recommend the paper tablet pads.

-3 brushes - a 1" flat , a #6 or #7 round, and a liner or rigger ( a wide soft hake is also nice)

-paint colours- thalo blue (if using winsor and newton paint this is called winsor blue)

- ultramarine blue

- permanent rose

- new gamboge yellow

- burnt sienna

-this is a minimum palette of colour. Other suggestions might be quinacridone gold, quinacridone coral,cobalt blue, indigo, cerulean blue. *The most important thing is to buy artist quality paint- do not buy student grade.

-spray bottle, small container of salt , clean rags, pencils, scrap paper

- masking fluid

-masking fluid remover

-masking tape

- anything else that you can think of that you use in your painting
