WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP FOR ADULTS ( 17 and over) Exploring the BC landscape with compositional skills and the transparency of watercolour. We will definitely need as many blues and yellows as we can bring to try and capture the green variations in the landscape around us. 2 sessions 58.00 Saturday and Sunday - 12:30 -5pm Instructor: Faith Love-Robertson Supply List: You will need a 140 lb piece of watercolour paper, student grade is fine (I do not recommend the ready made watercolour tablets with the gummed edges). Three absorbent watermedia brushes: 1 x 1" flat brush or a hake, 1 x rigger or liner brush (#2 or #3), 1 x #6 or #7 round Drawing Board: either masonite 1/4" thick or white corrugated plastic board (Home Depot) this can be cut to a useable size, the plastic is easily cut at home and the masonite can be purchased in precut sizes. Paint: I recommend a limited palette - ultramarine blue, thalo blue (or winsor blue if using winsor and newton), hansa yellow medium or new gamboge, red rose deep (da vinci brand) or permanent rose, burnt sienna. You can add colours to your palette as you progress. Palette - ice cream pail lid for first class will do (or I can supply a free one) Rags and or paper towel, Pencil eraser and scrap paper for drawing, Water container, masking tape, masking fluid (optional), Spray bottle, toothbrush. This is enough to get started and may be all you ever need. The longer you stay at watercolour painting the more items you will add to your list of supplies.
